I was lucky enough to find this site online, http://nicecarvings.com/, where a young woman by the name of Melissa Jones carves signs and various other items like the above arcade characters. I am rather partial to the Dragon's Lair and Dig-Dug artwork myself but the Donkey Kong and Burgertime carvings are very nice...the jury is still out though on her Moon Patrol work.
