The Vault Has Been Sealed...

It has finally happened, the Radium Chimps, that so many of you dear readers warned me about have staged an uprising on the lower decks of the Victory Pellet Vault. I barely have time to type this announcement that I am locking the Vault doors for good, never to return to it.

Luckily my good friend, the Retroist, has taken pity on my situation and allowed me to post on his site:

http://www.retroist.com/

So you may now see my rambling messages up on the main site, so please come on over and if you feel like it, drop a comment if you like what you see over there. Many people like myself share their gaming, television, toy, and movie memories everyday on the Retroist site and a more friendlier bunch of people you'll be hard pressed to find.

All silliness aside from the topmost writing, I want to thank each and every one of you, friends, for not only improving my life with your humorous and heartfelt comments but for giving me something to look forward to everyday, a new post to share with my online friends.

It has been a pleasure to post...nearly...six days of the week, missed a few here and there, and I hope you've enjoyed what you've read. It's been almost two years since I started up the Victory Pellet Vault and it was originally conceived to keep in contact with my local friends with pretty much what you see every day of the week here, it was a way to not clutter up their e-mail boxes. I cannot truly express how surprised and happy I was to find so many people who held my interests just as close to their own hearts.

Remember though, this is not a good-bye but a good beginning over at the Retroist site. Look forward to seeing you there!

Saturday Supercade!

It's cold here this morning in the Victory Pellet Vault so allow me to share with you this Nintendo blanket I've found. I figured this would keep me warmer...and safer than being surrounded by my army of Radium Chimps!

Exciting weekend for Encom.

The gaming world has been abuzz since Encom announced two weeks ago that Alan Bradley himself would deliver some exciting news about a new product in the pipeline. Last Friday evening, Mr. Bradley who was joined by his wife Lora, announced the soon to be online version of the classic Kevin Flynn programmed Space Paranoids game. He even went so far as to describe the amount of effort he had to work at to keep Space Paranoids from being an updated remake, that is correct, we will get to play the original like we remembered it. Although Bradley mentioned he made sure the programmers added 15 additional levels that came from Kevin Flynn's own workstation.

Of course the big moment came when the press conference was interrupted by the public group known as Flynn Lives, this was made easier as an Encom helicopter soared overhead and a parachutist swooped down over the crowd, landing and jumping into a waiting vehicle nearby. Most of the attendees, both Encom employees and Flynn Lives members think that it was Sam Flynn himself who parachuted down.

Moments later a spokeswoman for Encom apologized for the interruption and shut down the conference since things had gone so far out of control.

I for one wish I could have been in the audience myself but while the Radium Chimp training went well we had a massive cooling leak from one of the main reactors. Luckily everything is fixed and I am able to report that only three henchmen lost their lives controlling the leak. So a pretty exciting weekend all around.

A big thanks to the Blue Parrot for the photos above!

Friday Flyers...Interrupted for Flynn Lives!

Today is the day. At the Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco the Flynn Lives group is going to gatecrash the Encom press conference. I only wish I wasn't scheduled to train my latest batch of Radium Chimps this weekend....otherwise I would hop on my hover craft and head down there to attend myself.

Make sure to hop on over to www.Flynnlives.com for more details.
