I have Nick White to thank for this.

I had just finished the Konami NES game called Jackal, literally beaten the game about thirty minutes until I was supposed to go over to the White's home. I brought it with me and Nick traded Castlevania for Jackal...for a little while. I enjoyed Jackal and still do but nothing, nothing can touch the feeling I had when I first started playing Castlevania.

Have I beaten it? I did though I think it might have been the cause of my premature greying...that game demands a sacrifice and it must be paid. I have heard that this first game in the series has caused men to crumble and weep openly like a frightened child.
