Wow. 450th post.
When I first heard that Ice-T was one of the hundreds of thousands that stood in line for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2...I just figured he was in the wrong line, maybe he thought it was an open casting call for CSI: Miami, I thought perhaps he was just wanting a change of scenery. The Show achivement
10 kills/No deaths
Supernatural achievement
Kill/Death ration over 10
Immortal achievement
Highest kill/death ratio
No word on if he plays online with Gary Busey, Rutger Hauer, and Charles S. Dutton. Though from the safety of the Victory Pellet vault...I can only dream that this happens.
Thanks to Kotaku for the pics!
In 1983, Atari released one of my favorite arcade games, Food Fight. Doing some research, which in this case was Wikipedia, I found out that the player takes on the role of Charley Chuck...a boy who is just trying to eat an ice cream cone in peace but has to contend with four chefs whose main goal is to tackle the boy and or pelt him mercilessly with various piles of food. That bit of Wiki searching has let me know that the chefs have names as well. Oscar, Angelo, Jacques, and Zorba.

Well, the Victory Pellet vault is trashed, you can't wade through these hewed corridors of Onyx without slipping on Christmas wrapping. However, though Santa didn't perhaps bring us the glittering things we wished for...it was an enjoyable holiday none the less.

While better suited for Halloween than Christmas...this is a pic of kids wearing Pac-Man costumes which means it is full of win. However, as I later have learned, these children with their beloved video-game inspired champion proudly on their chests and face are...lawbreakers!

| On September 9th, 2009 Mark Kiehl stepped into history. Since 1982 at the age of 11 Mark has been playing Donkey Kong Junior. As a teen ager he had plenty of opportunity to play and work on his skills and was able to push his score up around 250,000. But after his local arcade sent the Donkey Kong Junior machine away it was a rare opportunity for him to be able to play the game again after that. Years later Mark began playing again using MAME on his home computer to simulate his favorite game. And, after learning about 1984 Aracade he started to visit us in person to play, practice and begin a string of record setting attempts. Now we are proud to announce that Mark Kiehl is the Official World Record holder of the highest score ever set on on Donkey Kong Junior. His score of 1,147,800 goes into the record books of Twin Galaxies Arcade (the official score keeper for world records). The score he beats was just set earlier this year by Steve Wiebe who became famous for his back and fourth battle for the world record for Donkey Kong in the film "Fist Full Of Quarters". The high score set by Billy Mitchell in 1983 help up through 2008 when it was eclipsed by Ike Hall. The owners at 1984 are very proud to have a world record set at our location, but we are very happy that it was Mark that did it." |
A blog concerning the gaming of the 1980's but I might speak a little about everything when the need arises.
