Great Scott!

Remember how bad the Back to the Future game was for the Nintendo Entertainment System? I know I sure do...collecting bowling balls indeed. Sigh. Luckily the fine fellows at Telltale Games are bringing us a new Back to the Future title with Bob Gale as consultant on the characters and storyline (a good thing since he co-wrote and was co-creator of the original trilogy) with Christopher Lloyd performing as Dr. Emmet Lathrop Brown, at least vocally. Though if you look at the photo sent to Kotaku up above it doesn't seem like he is just reading his lines does it?

To say I am excited by this bit of news is an understatement. Look for the first chapter in this episodic game to debut next year for most gaming platforms!

Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't buy this, he'd melt my brain.

First Ghostbusters, and now this? All the developers have to compete with is a few hasty commercial releases that sought to immediately capitalize on the popularity of the movies. There’s no way they can make a worse game.

Quite true, Drake. Though there has to be some movie tie-in's that actually were good...like Batman for the NES? Maybe?

I've been looking forward to this. I do hope they live up to Telltale's previous high standards. And, I'm glad to see Christopher Lloyd joining the cast. Sad to say, but even if it is merely mediocre, I'll probably still get it. I've been missing Back to the Future ever since they shut down the ride at Universal Studios.

Vin...they shut down the Back to the Future Ride? That's horrible! I loved that ride so much. What did they put in its place?

By the way I do agree with you about purchasing the game even if it turns out to be mediocre. To be honest though with TellTale games involved I highly doubt it will be a let down. :)

As a lover of adventure games, I'm a big fan of Telltale's offerings. Every one has been a winner that I've played. The Back to the Future Ride (in Universal Hollywood -I can't speak for Orlando) has been replaced with the Simpsons Ride. The Simpsons ride is phenomenal if you're a fan of the tv show. And, it is far more high-tech. But, I still miss the DeLorean.
